OBJECTIVES

During 2024, the ÀNECBLAU Shopping Center has maintained an Environmental and Health and Safety Management System based on the requirements of the ISO 14.001 and ISO 45.001 standards and has implemented an Energy Management System based on the requirements of the ISO 50.001 standard. These systems were submitted for evaluation by an accredited entity during December 2024.

For the 2024 financial year, the environmental, health and safety, and energy efficiency objectives are oriented towards environmental excellence, the protection of health and safety conditions, and sustainability, as fundamental values of the business strategy, and thus contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization with respect to people, the services provided, and the surrounding environment.

Below are the environmental, health and safety, and energy efficiency objectives defined for 2024 and the results obtained:

OBJECTIVES ORIENTED TOWARDS PEOPLE

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Objective 1: Increase the safety level of the Shopping Center, in order to achieve the elimination of risks in work identified as unsafe, which may not be carried out for this reason.
Indicator: No. Risks Corrected/ No. Total Risks Identified > 60%
Objective achieved: 3 risks have been identified and the necessary corrective actions have been taken to resolve 2 of them.

RISKS

Objective 2: Implement measures to improve accessible evacuation conditions in the building.
Indicator: Obtain Universal Accessibility Certification in accordance with the UNE 170.001-2:2007 standard, including accessible evacuation.
Objective achieved: all measures defined in the project have been implemented and the Universal Accessibility Certification was obtained in November 2024.

OBJECTIVES ORIENTED TOWARDS SERVICES PROVIDED

SUSTAINABILITY

Objective 3: Establish measures for the improvement of environmental sustainability.
Indicator: Maintain the excellent score in the building and building management in the BREEAM IN USE Certification, according to the new V6 manual.

INNOVATION

Objective 4: Carry out the continuous improvement of the services provided.
Indicator: implementation of Identified Improvement Opportunities ≥ 2
Objective achieved: A total of 4 improvement opportunities have been implemented (replacement of Roof Top, installation of new cameras in the waste storage area on the dock, Universal Accessibility Certification, and installation of air quality sensors in offices).

OBJECTIVES ORIENTED TOWARDS THE ENVIRONMENT

CULTURE

Objective 5: Promote the development of environmental awareness actions aimed at workers, customers, and users of the Shopping Center.
Indicator: environmental marketing actions carried out ≥ 2
Objective achieved: a total of 6 awareness actions have been carried out (recycling action in collaboration with the Castelldefels City Council and AMB, cleaning campaign for Castelldefels beach in collaboration with Ocean52 and Shaka Surf from Castelldefels, installation of bird nests and insect hotels in outdoor garden areas, publication on social media about the availability of Humana containers for used clothing collection, as well as a Reciclos machine for collecting plastic containers and promoting reuse).

ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS

Objective 6: Reduce and/or control the environmental aspects evaluated as significant and promote the efficient use of resources.
Indicator: implementation of informative signs to promote the use of less polluting vehicles and reduction of paper consumption by 2% compared to 2023.
Objective partially achieved: Implementation of reserved parking spaces for shared vehicles. A4 paper consumption has been maintained compared to the previous year, and A3 paper consumption has increased due to a greater number of events and actions.
Indicator: reduce electricity consumption by 4% compared to 2019 (Baseline Director Plan 2021-2026)
Objective achieved: In the period January-December 2024, electricity consumption has been reduced by 17.6% compared to 2019.
Indicator: reduce water consumption by 1% compared to 2019 (Baseline Director Plan 2021-2026)
Objective achieved: In the period January-December 2024, water consumption per person has been reduced by 16.16% compared to 2019.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Objective 7: Improve energy performance in 2024-2025 in lighting USE by reducing the 2023 energy baselines by 1%.
Indicator: reduction of energy consumption for lighting by 1% compared to the 2023 energy baseline.
Objective not achieved: In the period January-December 2024, energy consumption for lighting increased by 3.91% compared to the 2023 baseline, due to accessibility works in the parking lots and common areas, during daytime and nighttime hours, lasting 4 months.

Objective 8: Improve energy performance in 2024-2025 in HVAC USE by reducing the 2023 energy baselines by 0.5%.
Indicator: reduction of energy consumption for HVAC by 0.5% compared to the 2023 energy baseline.
Objective achieved: In the period January-December 2024, energy consumption for HVAC has been reduced by 11.7% compared to the 2023 energy baseline.

Objective 9: Improve energy performance in 2024-2025 in power USE by reducing the 2023 energy baselines by 0.5%.
Indicator: reduction of energy consumption for power by 0.5% compared to the 2023 energy baseline.
Objective not achieved: In the period January-December 2024, energy consumption for power has increased by 9.71% compared to the 2023 energy baseline, due to accessibility works in the parking lots and common areas, during daytime and nighttime hours, lasting 4 months.
