SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY
The ÀNECBLAU Shopping Center considers the protection of safety and health conditions at work as a fundamental value of its business strategy. Therefore, it carries out activities according to the principles of safe development, protecting people, committing to prevent damage and the deterioration of the health of its workers, as well as contributing to minimizing the occupational risks of contracted companies, workers from commercial establishments, and space rental workers through adequate control of common areas and facilities.
As a result, and in compliance with these commitments to occupational risk prevention, it applies the principles of the following health and safety policy and requires contracted companies and suppliers to provide their services in accordance with these same principles:
▪ INTEGRATE THE PROTECTION OF SAFETY CONDITIONS INTO OUR BUSINESS STRATEGY: Apply this criterion in decision-making, ensuring that it is a priority and at the same time a practice, guaranteeing that it is suitable for the context and purpose of our organization and involving all levels of the organization and other stakeholders.
▪ PREVENT DAMAGE AND DETERIORATION OF HEALTH DUE TO OCCUPATIONAL RISKS: Ensure that measures are adopted to adequately manage the safety and health conditions in which activities take place, in order to prevent damage and/or deterioration of health that could be suffered by employees, workers of contracted companies, commercial establishments, space rentals, or any other person with access to the Shopping Center. In addition, we establish means to control health and safety risks at work, using the hierarchy of controls: elimination of hazards; substitution with less hazardous materials, processes, operations, or equipment; engineering controls; administrative controls; and the provision of appropriate collective protections and personal protective equipment.
▪ ENSURE OPTIMAL AIR QUALITY IN OUR FACILITIES: Contribute to the well-being of customers, users, collaborators, and employees through the efficient use of air conditioning equipment.
▪ REDUCE INCIDENTS: Integrate occupational health and safety into global management so that all activities are considered from a perspective of preventing all types of accidents and protecting people in the work environment. Additionally, we have emergency and contingency plans to control residual risks, minimizing potential threats to the business and protecting our assets.
▪ PROMOTE INNOVATION AND DEVELOPMENT: Apply the cleanest, safest, and most effective solutions available and economically feasible to our facilities, enhancing the improvement of safety and health conditions at work.
▪ COMPLY WITH LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AND OTHER SUBSCRIBED REQUIREMENTS AND RESPECT ETHICS AND VALUES: Maintain permanent control over compliance with current legislation and other subscribed health and safety requirements at work, periodically reviewing the safety of our facilities, as well as requiring our contractors and suppliers to comply with these same principles.
▪ PROVIDE THE NECESSARY HUMAN AND MATERIAL RESOURCES TO ELIMINATE HAZARDS AND REDUCE OCCUPATIONAL RISKS: Provide adequate means for all personnel to carry out their work with the desired levels of safety and health.
▪ CONSIDER SAFETY AND HEALTH CRITERIA IN PURCHASES: Follow the principles of safe purchasing in the supply chain, promoting the acquisition of safe products, goods, and services produced under socially fair conditions.
▪ SUPPORT PEOPLE: Promote and participate in actions that encourage awareness, training, and sensitivity, and progress toward the safe development of our workers, customers, visitors, and society in general, as a basic principle of continuous improvement in our relationship with occupational risk prevention and stakeholders related to the Shopping Center.
▪ ACHIEVE STAFF PARTICIPATION: Encourage a participatory environment among the in-house staff, contractors, and commercial establishment and space rental personnel, integrating them into the common goal and improving communication to facilitate teamwork, individual recognition, suggestions for improvement, and consultations with workers and their representatives, guiding them all toward a responsible attitude through awareness and training.
▪ ACTIVELY INFORM ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE RESULTS OF SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK: Actively communicate social, safety, and health results and initiatives on occupational risk prevention.
▪ PERSIST IN CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: Plan medium- and long-term objectives that are the cause and effect of continuous improvement, aware that they can only be achieved through effort and the proper adaptation to changes; review the Health and Safety Management System to introduce any necessary changes to achieve the established goals; as well as promote the safety and health of workers through the application of measures and the development of activities necessary for the prevention of work-related risks.
